Nikolay Yordanov

Nikolay Yordanov was born on 10.06.1996 in the city of Varna. In 2020, he graduated from NATFIZ "Krastyo Sarafov", majoring in "Directing for Dramatic Theatre" with artistic supervisor Prof. Snezhina Tankovska. His graduation performance was "Ashes to Ashes" by Harold Pinter at the NATFIZ Theatre. He made his professional stage debut with the play "Buried Child" by Sam Shepard on the stage of the Blagoevgrad theatre in 2022. He worked as technical director for ACT – Festival for Free Theatre for the editions in 2022 and 2023. Since the end of 2023, he has held the position of "Deputy Director" at the Drama Theatre "Nikola Vaptsarov" – Blagoevgrad. His performances at the Drama Theatre "Nikola Vaptsarov" include: "Buried Child" by Sam Shepard (2022); "The Steadfast Tin Soldier" based on Hans Christian Andersen (2023); "Theatre in the Park: Sonnets of Shakespeare" (2024). His performances outside the theatre include: "Ashes to Ashes" by Harold Pinter (NATFIZ Theatre, 2020); "Two in Delirium" by Eugène Ionesco (Yalta Art Room, 2021); "MME, Who Started It First" by Deyan Dukovski (Drama Theatre "Geo Milev" – Stara Zagora, 2023).
