About the show

Nowhere do they teach how to live. There are universities, psychotherapists, churches, psychoanalysts, pseudo-occult teachers, all sorts of spiritual practices and meditations, but it seems that nowhere do they get to the essence. Almost no one has come to terms with themselves and the meaning of their own existence. "I don't know any happy people," as Chekhov says. "Fear of Taming" tells with understanding and a sense of humor the story of four people trying to understand the causes and reasons for their failures in life, to express their hatreds and loves, but also to see the meaning of a second chance in everyone's life. And why not make us reflect on the quiet but powerful wisdom of goodness and humanity, as well as on the possible way out of the fear of taming, i.e., from getting used to or adapting to it and its consequences. Or, as one of the characters says: Just say something nice and let's be done with it! "Fear of Taming" was written in 2014. It won the "Petar Kovachev" award for drama in 2014. It was nominated in the "Author's Reading" category at the International Festival "Drumevi Theatrical Holidays", Shumen 2015. It is included in the collection of dramaturgy "Small Rituals for Farewell" by Olya Stoyanova, which was published in 2015. Stefan Spasov Without Fear of Fears We live in a time when people seem to forget that our lives are made up not only of successes but also of failures. The question is how individual people cope with their mistakes, fears, and failures? With guilt, doubts, and disappointments? Can we speak out loud before strangers all our fears and failures? The characters in "Fear of Taming" try to fight their fears in their own way – they gather and tell about all the mistakes and failures they have gone through in order to continue living normally. One day, a person joins the group who carries real guilt – not made-up stories and minor transgressions, but real guilt that he does not know how to deal with. After this meeting, nothing is the same anymore – it is already difficult to determine what is good and what is evil, where the thin line between guilt and forgiveness passes. And the big question is how to live after that. Olya Stoyanova
