About the show
"When a person behaves strangely and foolishly, even if it seems to you that they are trying to be interesting - know that they do so because it hurts them very much." Brothers Konstantin and Mikhail are transferred to an elite high school, into the class of Sofia Alexieva, who is a teacher with an individualized approach. Her relationships with the students impress with their directness, as well as with the immense trust she places in them. The only thing known about the newly arrived brothers is that they are orphans and that their past in previous schools has not been without problems. Communicating with each other in a made-up sign language of their own, the "newcomers" provoke outrage and mockery among the well-off students. The essay that Mrs. Alexieva assigns to the class on the topic "How to Prevent Evil" catalyzes negative emotions in the class. Leaders emerge who defend different positions - the teenagers are torn between their curiosity about the mysterious brothers and the instinctive rejection of everything unknown and different. Additional tension is added by the fact that fires periodically break out at the school, whose perpetrator has not been caught. Are we willing to accept differences? Have we come to accept it as normal to behave rudely towards each other? Do we think about how our words and actions affect others? Can school be an environment for personal growth? Does the teacher-student relationship still exist today? Are words a guarantee of successful communication?
