Epopoeia of the Forgotten

The stage adaptation of Ivan Vazov's great poetic work "Epopoeia of the Forgotten" is an inspiring spectacle dedicated to the heroes that history must not forget. The performance brings Vazov's words to life, presenting before the audience the forgotten heroes – clergy, revolutionaries, enlighteners – people who built Bulgarian national consciousness through deeds and self-sacrifice. The figures of Botev, Koco, the Zhekov brothers, Kableshkov, Paisius, the Miladinov brothers, Hadji Dimitar, Volov, Karadjata, and the Militiamen of Shipka become symbols of moral purity and idealism, standing in sharp contrast to today's oblivion and indifference. With a contemporary stage language, a strong visual concept, and emotionally charged acting, the spectacle raises questions about memory, national identity, and the responsibility of every generation towards the past. "Epopoeia of the Forgotten" is not just a historical reconstruction – it is a voice that resonates in the present with a call to remember, to honor, and to be worthy heirs of those who dedicated their lives to Bulgaria.
