Theatre Sofia is the largest municipal theatre in the city of Sofia. It was founded in 1966. It has a building with several theatre halls – a large one and an intimate one, with spaces suitable for experimental theatrical activity – a Marble Foyer and a summer theatre stage. Theatre Sofia is a repertory theatre with a compact acting troupe of distinguished artists from different generations, as well as technical and administrative staff. The troupe of Theatre Sofia continues to combine respect for tradition with creative experimentation, offering diverse and intriguing presentations of theatrical art.
